Mid Michigan Derby Girls
Mid Michigan's Flat Track Roller Derby League
The Mid Michigan Derby Girls was founded in July 2008 . At that time MMDG was only the 5th flat track roller derby league incepted in the state. Mid Michigan Derby Girls was founded with goals of empowering women in a family friendly enviroment.
In September 2009 we kicked off our official rookie bouting season. The following month we were excited and honored to be accepted into the WFTDA Apprentice Program. WFTDA stands for Women's Flat Track Derby Association and is the governing body of flat track roller derby. For complete rules of the game and member leagues visit http://www.wftda.com.
Our 2009/2010 & 2010/2011 bouting seasons were a great success. Although all games did not result in a win, we took each as an experience to learn and grow.
We were successful in gaining fans and the support of our community.
We thank all of our families, fans, and sponsors who have supported us!
